Mount Kilimanjaro

We offer climbing tours to Mount Kilimanjaro’s summit, the world’s tallest free-standing mountain and Africa’s highest peak. This majestic mountain is a strato-volcano formed by volcanic eruptions about 750,000 years ago. It is considered dormant, not extinct, as the last eruption occurred approximately 360,000 years ago. Located in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania, the snow-capped mountain spans five vegetation zones: farmland, forest, moorland, alpine desert, and arctic summit..

Climbing Kilimanjaro typically takes five to ten days. However, we recommend taking six or more days for better chances of success. This gives your body enough time to acclimate correctly and avoid Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), a condition that occurs when the body struggles with low oxygen levels at higher altitudes. We have multiple routes to climb Kilimanjaro, including Machame, Marangu, Lemosho, Umbwe, Shira, Northern Circuit, and Rongai. These routes are located in the north, south, and west of the mountain.
