Hot Air Balloon Safaris

A hot air balloon safari offers a unique and breathtaking way to experience stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife. Floating silently over the vast plains, acacia-studded savannahs, and winding rivers, this safari provides a perspective that is both exhilarating and serene.

The two ideal locations to enjoy a balloon safari are Serengeti and Tarangire national parks. A balloon safari in Serengeti offers a bird’s eye view of the great migration and its numerous wildlife species across its endless plains.  In Tarangire, a balloon safari displays large populations of elephants, baobab trees and diverse wildlife right across from the sky.

This thrilling experience that starts in the early morning provides you with an hour of soaring in the sky as the sun rises over the acacia plains. The flight ends with a champagne toast for everyone on board and finalized with a fantastic bush breakfast.

Serengeti Great Migration

The Great Serengeti Migration refers to the annual massive movement of wildebeests, zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles between Tanzania and Kenya in search of water and fresh pastures.

Great Migration is the single largest movement of mammals since at least 2 million animals migrate annually. About 1.5 million wildebeests, 500,000 gazelles and 200,000 zebras migrate each year. These animals travel together because their adaptations complement each other. They also move in great numbers which acts as a defence against predators.

The whole journey is difficult whereby not all of them reach their final destination. This is mainly due to hunger, thirst, and exhaustion which mainly applies to the calves. However, it’s not only about food but also due to predators (lions and crocodiles) which kill a good number of herds.

This natural event which is not something to miss creates a great adventurous experience leaving you with lifetime memories.
