13 Day Safari and Zanzibar Tour

Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport Arrival

Pickup from the airport upon arrival and transfer to the booked hotel. Delivery of a short safari briefing by the guide. Check in the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Half Day Game Drive In Tarangire

Pickup from your accommodations in Arusha for a 2 hour drive to Tarangire famously known for its large number of elephants. Game drive in the beautiful park spotting hundreds of elephants, big cats, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, monkeys. Break for lunch at a picnic site and proceed game viewing till evening. Transfer to the booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Tarangire Morning Game Drive and Transfer To Serengeti

Leave very early for a morning game drive to see animals waking in their nature. Game drive to spot killings from the big cats and variety of bird species including the famous “Masai ostrich”.

Return to the hotel around 9:00 for breakfast and shower. Checkout the hotel with packed lunch and proceed with the journey to the exclusive Serengeti national park. Arrive in the evening and transfer to the booked hotel for an overnight stay.

 Day 4: Full Day Game Drive In Serengeti

Leave for a day’s game drive in the vast savannah plains decorated with acacia trees. Game drive to spot big cats (lion, leopard and cheetah), wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, antelopes. Get a chance to see variety of bird species. Break for a picnic lunch and proceed with game view till evening. Return back to the hotel for dinner and sleep.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive and Transfer To Olduvai Gorge

Checkout the hotel with packed lunch for a little game drive to spot  elephants, elands, hartebeests, buffalos, Toppi and many others. Proceed with the drive to Olduvai gorge, an anthropological site holding human ancestor’s remains. Go for a historical tour to learn about the origin of man and see the first human fossils. Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an overnight stay at the booked hotel.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

Checkout the hotel with packed lunch and drive to Ngorongoro. Descend down the Ngorongoro caldera which is a home to thousands of animals of birds. Game drive in the crater spotting the big five (the only place where big five can be seen at once), elephants, giraffes, elands, hyenas, antelopes, oryx, jackals and others. Come across variety of bird species. Break for a picnic lunch and proceed with game viewing till evening. Ascend out the crater and drive to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 7: Lake Natron Tour and Transfer To Arusha

Have breakfast and check out the hotel for a drive to lake Natron. Take a walk along the lake while admiring its beautiful alkaline nature. Get a chance to see thousands of flamingos decorating the lake. If lucky, you may be able to spot their lain eggs. Have a picnic lunch and drive back to Arusha.

Day 8: Transfer To Zanzibar

Checkout of the hotel in Arusha and prepare for a drive to the airport for a transfer to Zanzibar.

Pickup from the airport upon arrival and transfer to the booked hotel in Stone town. Delivery of a short safari briefing by the guide. Check in the hotel for resting. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9: Mnemba Island Day Tour

Pickup from your hotel for a drive to Nungwi. Upon arrival, proceeed with the transfer to the exclusive Mnemba island.  It’s a breeding site for turtles who are seen along with dolphins and whale sharks. Spend quality time swimming, snorkeling and diving to see different fish species including striped snapper, surgeon fish. Proceed with sailing on a traditional dhow to Muyuni beach for a barbeque seafood lunch. Sea breezing at the beach for ultimate relaxation. Return back by boat to Nungwi for a drop off to the previous accommodations in Stone town

Day 10: Jozani Forest Day Tour

Leave the hotel for a drive to the famous Jozani forest. Explore the beautiful forest which hosts a variety of flora and fauna. Get a chance to see the last remaining sanctuaries of the red colubus monkey. Break for a picnic lunch.  Visit the Mangrove swamp and walk along the Mangrove swamp displaying spectacular views. Exit the forest and drive back to town

Day 11: Stone Town Day Tour and Transfer To Nungwi

Pickup from the hotel for a half day tour in the beautiful coastal town. Explore the town by visiting House of wonders, Old Fort, Slave market , Palace museum and Darajani market. Walk through the streets to see Zanzibar curved doors decorating the town. Break for a barbeque lunch. Pass through the narrow bazaar streets and curio shops to purchase handmade items like jewels, khangas etc. Proceed with a drive to Nungwi beach for an overnight stay at the booked hotel.

Day 12: Full Day Beach Relaxation

Have a whole day to yourself sea breezing for ultimate relaxation of body and mind. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling and diving bringing you closer to the beautiful sea life. Break for lunch at the hotel and proceed leisuring at the beach till late afternoon. Dinner and sleep at the hotel.

Day 13: Spice Farm Tour and Transfer To The Airport

Leave the hotel for a boat drive to Spice island. Explore the natural beautiful island filled with variety of spices and fruits. Get a chance to taste some of the tropical fruits and climb coconut trees if interested. Continue with walking till mid-day and drive back to town. Have lunch and transfer to the airport for departure.
